Fellowship of Believers

To those who are beginning a new school year, to the teachers, to the student, the disciple, to the worship leader, to the shepherds, to the designers, the youth staffers, the administrators, the young, the weak, the leaders, the missionary, the family who yearns and draws near to the Fathers heart, continue to share and work together for the sake of the Kingdom. We are not only a catalyst but a Fellowship of Believers.

The main purpose of the Southeast Asian Catalyst is to band together in prayer, intercession, prayer, and support of one another's ministries, servanthood, and how we work the harvest together. As SEAC we mobilize, empower, and equip as best we can for the sake of kingdom cause.

In Paul's words in Galatians 6:1-10
Doing Good to All

Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted. Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. If anyone thinks they are something when they are not, they deceive themselves. Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else, for each one should carry their own load. 6 Nevertheless, the one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor. Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers

And in least of these for those who love The Lord of the Rings, we learn from J.R. Tolkien's writing and the movies that we make decisions to DO rather than ignore the circumstances or even the war we fight daily. We decide and we support one another in the tasks that are at hand. If we cannot carry the task itself, we can carry each other. The series begins with Frodo feeling alone with such a heavy burden to take the ring to the fires of Mordor. Yet, he looses site that he has 8 who have committed to the task a fellowship of brothers and believers, forming the Fellowship of the Ring. In this dialogue we see Frodo's fears and low spirit.

Frodo: "I wish the ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened."
Gandalf: "So do all who live to see such times, But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in the world Frodo; besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case you were also meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought.

Along the way you see how the Fellowship of the Ring fights together, escapes together, vouch for each other and even split apart in different directions, almost destroyed. With assistance from allies, friends, and those who believe in the same justice they restore the land for the age of Man. Even more specifically at the end of the series you see how Sam had asked so many times for Frodo to let him carry the burden for him (the ring). Finally at the foot of the Mount Doom, Frodo's burden was so overwhelming that he could not walk anymore. Sam takes him upon his shoulder and says, "If I cannot carry the ring, Mr. Frodo, but I can carry you." Sam with all the strength that he has left carried Frodo up the steep hot, dangerous slope to the fiery door of fire on Mount Doom.

May you continually be empowered and inspired by these words. Furthermore, here is something tangible that is consistent encouragement.  The Jubilee Project Doing Good is Contagious campaigns. Today Jubilee Project has inspired and empowered thousands of people through advocating the message that our daily actions to spread the love of Christ is contagious, that it does matter. Even in the simple forms of post-it notes, snail mail, kind acts, and authenticity.  The message of love we share does influence others. You will see the pain and suffering, but like prayer, we are not at a stalemate but in action and deeds we faithfully go to the Father. We do this together as a community, as a family of believers.

An Apple Pie Prayer Life

I went to Mt. Hermon to Cabin lead this past June/July. There was an illustration that one of the speakers, Tim Lee, gave that really helped me re-evaluate my relationship with God, being a visual learner, illustrations really help. He gave the Apple Pie Message. He was talking to his mentor, discussing (Tim's) recent revelations in both their spiritual walk with God.  Tim was saying that, if his life was like a pie graph, his time was/is split into so many slices, and noticed that each portion is much larger than his "God Slice".  He mentioned that 25% was for sleep, 33% was for social media, studies, work, and emails, 20% was for friends and family, and 20% was for fun, and minimally a 2% for God - morning quiet time, and prayer before meals and bed.  He asked his mentor what wisdom he could have to help him learn to manage and balance out his life and get the pie slices to be more even. His mentor replied,  "Pie is really good, I love pie, so Tim, what is y

Day 4: SEALS 2012 Arise and ShineToday

Family Mosaic, Creative Arts Worship, a mosaic of our communion time together. Today concludes SEALS 2012. The morning began with cultural breakout groups to reflect and debrief the weekends experiences, lessons, and blessings.  Afterwards we moved into powerful morning of worship.  The mosaic cross of the broken pottery from the night before stood up as a symbol of our communion together as a family, and one tribe, under the Kingdom of Christ. Worship Team! James Choung came back speaking on how to fuel our drams.  He gave many helpful points that would equip us on how to re-approach our dreams and ministries with a new perspective.  -We are to be God watchers, similar to birdwatchers who from a far can recognize the voice of a speck in the sky, as well as admire the  bird in its beauty up close.  If we are like birdwatchers, we can recognize what God is doing in front of our eyes.   -Do know, do we live, do we have an expectation that God is breaking in to our dai

Super Bloom in California

Have you ever heard the term SUPERBLOOM ?   What is it?   This is the newest frenzy for Californians in the last two weeks.   In all thirty some years of my life, I have never heard this term outside of the 60’s peace era. My social media pages and face-to-face conversations have been filled with eyewitnesses of “super bloom” Super Bloom, Lake Eleanor, CA :  photo by  @mirandajonez National Geographic Magazine defines “ super bloom” as “a colloquial term used to define an explosion of wildflowers that exceeds typical spring blooms. The park, which is typically bare of flowers, has come alive with vibrant greenery, poppies, primroses, and lilies.” photos from National Geographic Other photos of super bloom in California It is praise to the Creator that the California drought has finally ended from the downpour of rain this past winter.   Our reservoirs are filled and the drive on the I-5 is no longer hazy brown.   But rather the interstate has become drenched with roll
